Rachel Herbelin Brown, 92, of Waco, gracefully entered into the arms of God Monday, February 28, 2011. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., March 2, Wednesday at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Rachel was born in Ross to George and Della (Lassetter) Herbelin, and has lived in this area all of her life. She worked for 20 years as a hostess at Hickory Stick restaurant in Waco. She was a member of Park Lake Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Warren Brown of Waco; sons, Wilson Martin and wife Brenda of Grand Prairie, and Ronnie Martin and wife Jenny of Axtell; sisters, Mickey Uptmore and husband A.J. of China Spring, and Welda Stanley of Waco; brother, Joe Herbelin of Lorena; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Troy Martin, Jeffrey Martin, Heath Martin, Ponch Reyes, John Garcia and Benny Herbelin.
