Rachel Johnson

Rachel Ann Johnson, 48, of Gatesville, former longtime Waco resident, passed away Sunday, October 26, at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home chapel with her brother, Richard Davis, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Eagle Springs Cemetery in Oglesby. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home. A memorial video will be shown continuously during visitation. Rachel was born Sept. 22, 1955, in Waco to Woodrow Wilson and Lula Bird (McMahan) Davis. She was a retired nurse's aid, and was a member of Monte Vista Church of Christ of Bellmead. She was a Good Samaritan all of her life, always helping other people. Survivors are two sons, Johnny Patrick Duett and James Duett, both of Gatesville; a daughter, Sara Ann Duett of Las Vega, NM; life long friend, Johnny Duett of Waco; three brothers, Johnny Davis of Oglesby, Willard Davis of Lorena, and Richard Davis of Chalk Bluff; two sisters, Catherine Franklin of Oglesby and Luke Sutton of Bellmead; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
