OBITUARY

Ralph W. Henson, 85 of Waco passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2005 in Aquilla.
Services will be 10 am Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at OakCrest Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 3 pm in Evergreen Cemetery in Wharton. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Ralph was born January 17, 1920 in Gause, to Walter and Mary (James) Henson. He attended Brackenville Grammar School; Yoe High school, and went on to earn his BBA degree at Baylor University. He joined the USAAF in 1941.
After his discharge he married Nelda Joyce Looper on February 20, 1946. They were married for 57 years. Ralph was a lifetime member of the VFW, and became a 50-year member of the Masons and Eastern Star on August 20, 2002. He was raised to the degree of Master Mason in Wharton. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner.
He spent most of his working life with Standard Oil, and was a Computer Analyist.
He loved slow pitch ball and had pitched a perfect game. Computers and writing poems were among his favorite hobbies. He was quite a story teller.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nelda Joyce Henson, a son, James Lee Henson, brothers Newman, Glover, Harry, Rudy and Randy; and sisters, Inez Henson Lottie and Faye.
He is survived by his sister Louise Plaehm and husband, Busty of Pasadena; and very special nephews G.S. (Pap) Henson and wife Mary of Pasadena and Gayle Beck of Horse Shoe Bay.

All his precious little angels, James Davis (J.J.), Sam Davis, Jed Davis (Lil Ralph), Ashlyn Klaus and Gracie Cullens. Numerous nieces and nephews. He touched the lives of many. Especially Diane Simmons. Thanks for the wonderful friendship.
