Raquel Hernandez

Raquel Gabriela "Gaby" Hernandez passed away peacefully June 8, 2013 at Providence Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Father Ed Karasek officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

She was born February 24, 1973 to Salvador and Gloria Martinez, she was the oldest of seven children. She attended Waco High School. On June 22, 1996 she married her best friend, Ramon Hernandez. They did not have any children, but they loved and took care of her nieces and nephews. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, aunt, best friend and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Isaias Canchola, Atenojenes Martinez, and Refugio Flores.

Survivors include her parents, Salvador and Gloria Martinez; husband, Ramon Hernandez; sisters, Laura Berger and husband Dale, and Imelda Martinez; brothers, Salvador Martinez, Juan Martinez, Michael Martinez and Josue Martinez; the love of her life nieces, Ale, Melanie, and Jade and nephews, Christopher, Joshua, Jonathan and Jacob.

Pallbearers will be Joe Portillo, Christopher Berger, Juan Martinez, Salvador Martinez, Josue Martinez, Andrew Olguin, Adrian Rodriguez, Nicholi Martinez and Ulises Rosas.
