OBITUARY

Raymond Glenn Hubbard, 57, of China Spring, passed away Friday afternoon at his residence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Wiley officiating. Military graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at George's Creek Cemetery near Cleburne. Visitation with his family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video of his life will be shown during the visitation. Friends and family can also visit the funeral home Sunday between 1 and 8 p.m. for viewing.

Ray was born April 2, 1947, in Odessa to John and Mary Belle (Roper) Hubbard. He completed schools in China Spring, and graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in 1984. He served in the Navy, where he retired as a First Class Petty Officer. In the Navy, he was a diver and electrical mate, and he served on the USS Chipola in Vietnam.

Ray was a member of the Speegleville Baptist Church, and was master of Waco Masonic Lodge 92 in 1990-91. He loved to play golf, write songs, and sing karaoke.

Ray was married on December 31, 1978 to the former Eleanor Hubbard. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother, Cydrick Wayne Hubbard. Click the Slide Show button above to view a picture of Ray and his wife, who passed away last year.

He is survived by stepsons, Jim Hanna and wife Nancy Mitchell, Jeff Hanna and wife Pat, and Richard Hanna and wife Cara; stepdaughter, Cindy Wiley and husband Scott; grandchildren, Jack, Steven, John, Chris, Amanda, Bobby, Jessica, and Jarod Hanna; great grandchild, Jace; brothers, Ronald Hubbard and wife Linda, Johnny Hubbard, Donald Hubbard, and Dennis Hubbard; and sister, Shirley Dominguez and husband Charlie.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and his granddaughters as honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
