Raymond Guy Lowry
March 22, 1927 – February 4, 2006
Raymond Guy Lowry, 78, of Waco, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2006 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Waco Memorial Park North with the Rev. Van Vowell officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
He was employed for many years by Downing Brothers Construction Company and also Loop 340 Construction. He was an active member of American Legion Post 121 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and most of all, a loving father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Lowry, and brothers, Harold and Eldon Lowry.
He is survived by sons, Derrick Lowry and wife, Missy of Waco, daughter Patty Nevarez and husband Frank of Waco, Bubba Thomason and wife, Pam of Waco, and Glenn Lowry; brother, G.R. Lowry of Lorena; sister, Johnnie Ruth Crelia of Lorena, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Frank Nevarez, Tony Nevarez, Leonard Neumann, Harold Dodson, Mylar Walker, and Jason Crawford. Honorary pallbearer will be hospitalist Debbie Ucci.
