Raymond Mendoza, Sr.
March 18, 1936 – January 22, 2013

Raymond Mendoza, Sr., 76, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at his home. The graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Waco Memorial Park. The family will gather at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., at 12 noon Friday, and the procession to cemetery will leave at 1 p.m. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Raymond was born March 18, 1936 in Taft, Texas to George and Marcela Mendoza. He married the love of his life, Josie Sandoval, in 1955 and raised four boys and a girl. He loved his family and friends, and will be dearly missed. He worked for Waco ISD for 24 years, at the Earle Harrison House 14 years, and at Ultra Clean 12 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marcella Mendoza; and brothers, Tony and John Mendoza.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Josie Mendoza; sons, Raymond Mendoza and Christine Nevarez, Ricky Mendoza and wife Delores, David Mendoza, and Daniel Mendoza and wife, Natalie; and a daughter, Delia Mendoza Melendez, all of Waco. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The pallbearers will be Raymond Mendoza III, Ricky Mendoza Jr., David Mendoza Jr., Joshua Ray Mendoza, Anthony Melendez, and Celedonio Sandoval, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Carlos Medina Jr. and Daniel Mendoza Jr.
