Reva Faye Burton, 76, of Waco, passed away Friday, December 12, 2003, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
SERVICES
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Willhite and Rev. Dan Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
VISITATION
Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial videotape of her life will be shown continuously during visitation.
PERSONAL LIFE
Reva was born February 21, 1927, in Reno, Oklahoma to John and Betty Roberts. She was married in Hamilton on June 18, 1941 to Douglas Burton.
For 58 years, her faithful husband was the center and love of her life, and she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She specially delighted in her two great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She was also more like a mother to her granddaughter, Melanie. Reva and Douglas thought of Melanie's husband, Coy Hill, as their own grandson.
She was a member of the Bosqueville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Rick Burton, in 1996.
SURVIVORS
Reva is survived by her husband, Douglas Burton; her granddaughter, Melanie Richards-Hill and husband Coy of Waco, and two great-grandsons, Colby and Ryan Richards of Waco.
PALLBEARERS
Pallbearers will be Coy Hill, George Roberts, Johnny Roberts, James Richards, Albert Cobbs, and Harvey Hoffman.
SPECIAL THANKS
