Richard Ayala, 54, of Waco passed away on Wednesday December 27, 2006 at a local hospital.

Services will be 11 am Friday at First Spanish Assembly of God, 3301 Clay, with the Rev. Frank Alvarado officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation will start at 6 pm on Thursday followed by a Prayer Service at 7 pm lead by Apostle Robert Henderson at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Richard was born on July 19, 1952 in Waco. He married the love of his life, Mary Fajardo on December 12, 1970. Richard retired from Huck International after 29 years to go into ministry.

He was a long time member of First Spanish Assembly of God Church. He became an ordained minister, where he loved to talk to others about Jesus. He was the Pastor of a small church in connection with Kairos. He enjoyed softball and baseball. Richard coached for Southern and Lake Air Little Leagues. He loved to work with the youth Tyc in Marlin. He was also a commander for the Royal Ranchers Ministries.

Richard is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary Ayala of Waco; daughters, Leticia Perez, Leslie Rosas and husband Johnny of Waco; son, Richard "Mike" Ayala and fianc? April N. Laine of Waco; six grandchildren, Mitchell McMillan, Lauren, Isabella, EJ Perez, Jonathan Rosas and Jase Ayala; mother and step-father, Susie Salinas and husband Paul; brothers, Jesse Ayala Sr., Raymond Ayala Jr., Jimmy Salinas, John Salinas and Frank Salinas; sisters, Teresa Reyes, Patricia Alonzo, Paula Sanchez, Susie Gutierrez and Beatrice Calderon; step-sisters, Diana Mares, Yolanda Romero and Charlene Gronewold; step- brothers, Vincent and Bernardo Ayala, and many friends.

Richards kids were the love of his life, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son , brother and friend.

His brothers will serve as pallbearers and son-in-law, Ervey Perez, SR. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Rosas.
