Richard Charles Goates, 52 passed away Saturday after a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held Saturday September 28,2013 2:00 at Oakcrest Funeral Home in Waco, Tx.
Richard was born July 5, 1961 in Waco to Everett and Rita Goates. He graduated from Waco High School in 1979. He went on to graduate from nursing school at MCC, and worked at Providence Hospital in both the E.R. and Mental Health wards. Richard later worked at several Bellmead area convenience stores. In recent years he was employed by Barron Environmental Services and Technologies, Hewitt, Tx.
He is survived by sister Rita Reyna and husband Philip of Waco, sister Donna Johnson and husband James of Austin and brother Don Goates and wife Susie of Weatherford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Traditions Hospice, College Station, funds going to indigent patients.
