Richard Dean Nance, 64, of Waco passed away Monday, March 12, 2012. Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, at OakCrest Funeral Home with James Shugart officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday.
Richard was born in Waco to Claude Nance and Doris Keorth Nance. He graduated from University High School in 1966. Richard married Vickie Williams, his high school sweetheart July 9, 1966. Richard served in the Navy, and retired from the Air Force. He also worked at The Waco Regional Veterans Administration. He was a Mason. Richard was a loving and devoted grandfather, his 4 grandchildren were the light of the his life.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Richard is survived by his wife, Vickie; daughter, Karen Nance-Paez and husband, Christopher; mother, Doris Nance; sisters, Claudia Nance, Sherrie Mahoney; brother, Ron Nance; grandchildren, Megan Lee-Vergara and husband, Denis, Haylee Lee, Chance Lee, Aidan Paez, and his dog, Lilly.
