December 27, 1962 – August 25, 2008

Richard Andrew Romero, 45, was surrounded by his beloved family when he passed away in Chicago, Illinois, on August 25, 2008, after a long illness.

Funeral services will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, August 30, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father David Leibham officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm, Friday, August 29, 2008, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

"Andrew" as he was known to all, was born on December 27, 1962 in Waco, Texas. He spent the last 3 years of his life in the care of his parents, Margaret Romero of Waco and Richard Romero of Chicago, Illinois.

He attended St. Mary's Catholic school and University High school in Waco, Texas. Andrew, a fun loving, dynamic, and highly spirited individual, will be dearly missed by his parents; sisters, Rachel Gonzales, and Irma Gooch of Waco; brothers, Edward Romero of Chicago and Esteban Romero of Waco,
And numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces.

He will be fondly remembered for his "live today" attitude and lifestyle.

Although Andrew's life was never focused on grand accomplishments, his love for his family and God was unsurpassed.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Ashly Romero Belcher, and his grandparents.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Intensive care unit staff at John Stroger Cook Co. Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, for their care to Andrew during his last days.

Pallbearers will be James Faulkner, Henry Gooden, Julian Castanon, Mario Ramirez,Chad Dolezal and Pete Garcia.
