Rikki Blenden

Rikki Lynn Blenden, 16, of Speegleville, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, in a Waco hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at the St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Crawford with Pastors Mike Murphy and Tom Beers officiating. Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Rikki was born January 10, 1986, in Clifton to Richard and Faye Blenden. She was an eleventh grade honor student at Crawford High School where she played on the softball team.
She was the special Princess of her brother, mother and father who liked to draw and make things. She loved to play softball, and was a very loving, tender girl who was always cheerful.
She is survived by her parents, Richard and Faye Blenden of Speegleville; a brother, Nicholas Blenden of Speegleville; her paternal grandparents, Dwain and Flo Blenden of Speegleville; maternal grandmother, Maggie Nolen of Three Rivers, Tx.; four uncles, Russell Blenden and his wife Celeste of Crawford, Robert Blenden and his wife Dawn of Speegleville, and Ronald Blenden and his wife Lisa of Speegleville, Tony Nolen and his wife Hiroko of Sachse, Tx.; aunt, Yvonne Bouyer and her husband Jim of Ft. Worth; and 13 first cousins, Randa, Eric, Kara, Cameron, Carter, Jake, and Christian Blenden, Michael Zylberfuden, Gregg Bouyer, and Alice, Lisa, Melissa, and Jason Nolen.
Pallbearers will be Mason Welty, Danny White, Chris Spanos, Eric Wolf, Brandon Glass, Timmy Ewing, and Gerik Baize. Honorary pallbearers will be the Class of 2004, and her fellow classmates and teammates.
Memorials may be made to the Crawford Scholarship Fund or to the charity of your choice.
