Riley Davis Smith, 46, of Waco, passed away Monday, September 3, 2007, at a local hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Riley was born in Houston. He loved music, and was a musician for most of his life. He was part of the "Bradshaw Gang of Central Texas" for many years, as well as his own project "Night Movies." Even in his last days he was playing his keyboard and singing. His beautiful voice will live on within our hearts. We will always love our Tasmanian devil, as we called him since his personality fit that character.
Riley was preceded in death by Bruce Davis Choquette, his grandson.
Survivors are his wife, Angelika Bastian; daughters, Katrin Bastian and Anja Torres and husband Edward; granddaughter, Jasmine Torres; brother, Carl Smith of Houston; and sister, Bridget Smith of Houston.
He was well known by many Central Texans, and will be missed not only by his family, but by his many friends and former band mates.
Donations can be made to the funeral home to pay for his funeral.
