Rita Castillo Enriquez, 52, of Waco, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at Providence Hospital. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 followed by a Rosary service at 7 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Rita was born to Rafael and Elosia (Becerra) Castillo in Waco. She attended University High School. On March 3, 1973 Rita was married to Thomas Enriquez, Jr. Rita was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was excited about the arrival of two grandchildren due in June and August.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Thomas Enriquez Jr., who passed away November, 2, 2009; mother, Elosia Castillo; father, Rafael Castillo and stepmom, Lydia; stepfather, Raymond Ochoa; brother, Davis Casteneda; sister, Rosemary Mendoza; son, Thomas "Bubba" Enriquez; grandson, Matthew Nealon.
Rita is survived by: brothers, Ralph Castillo Jr. and wife, Gina, of Houston, Robert Castillo and wife, Mary Lou, Jesse Castillo of Kent, Wash., Raymond Ochoa Jr. and wife, Dawn, of Houston, and Tony Casteneda and wife, Diane; sisters, Elidia Castillo, M.B. Casteneda, and Mary Jane Rodriquez and husband Kenneth; children, Eric Enriquez and wife, Gina, Tisha Vidaña and husband, Jose, and Melissa Enriquez; grandchildren, Anna Marie Gonzales, Eric Alexandria, Jonathan and Thomas Enriquez, Mark Locke, Tiffany, Gabriella, Savannah, Thomas Vidaña, Jerimiah and Nathaniel Trejo, Ray Nealon, Anthony Perez, Sirena and Brian Garcia.
Pallbearers will be Jamie and Michael Lerma, Andrew and Christopher Castillo, Jesse Castillo Jr., Raymond Mendoza III, Billy Guthrie, and Steven Vargas.
