Robbie Lynn Howell of Woodway, TX passed away May 17, 2021 due to cancer and heart related complications. She was born in 1948; the youngest child of Herschel Howell and Leona Mae Massey Howell.

Robbie graduated from Baylor University with both Bachelor’s and Masters degrees, and was a teacher and diagnostician in WISD many years until retirement.

Robbie was preceded in death by grandparents; parents; two sisters: Billie Carroll and Betty Nicholson; and husband, Baylor History professor Dr. Stanley Campbell. She is survived by her permanent companion, retired Baylor Religion professor, Dr. John Wood; daughter Laura (Jeff) Gunn and grandson Edward Gunn of Houston; brother Weldon Howell, sister Sue Kyte, both of Garland, TX; Martha (Yoshi) Tonomura of Spring, TX; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Robbie was very passionate about politics and was a strong Democrat throughout her life. She loved animals and always had an assortment of cats and dogs.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the many dedicated workers of Hillcrest Hospital, Hillcrest Cancer Center, and Texas Home Health group. A memorial service will be Saturday, July 10, 2:00pm at Seventh & James Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the animal rescue organization of your choice.
