Robert William Blair, 71, of McGregor, TX passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at Royal Manor Health Center in Hewitt.
Bob was born September 21, 1932, in Chadron, Nebraska, to Glenn and Iona (Dotson) Blair. He married Shirley Steele on August 19, 1952, in Junction City, Kansas. He was a retired sporting goods salesman, and worked for Bear Archery Co. for many years. Bob was an avid trap shooter who enjoyed this sport and made many friends through the years. Prior to this, he was an accomplished archer.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Shirley Blair of McGregor; a son, Jerry Blair and wife, Sandy, of Thousand Oaks, Ca.; a daughter, Robin Ann Blair; two granddaughters, Jamie and Kelsey Blair of Thousand Oaks, Ca., a grandson, Dominic Ranallo of St. Louis, Mo., and a great-grandson, Cody of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Bruce Blair of Hay Springs, Neb., and an aunt, Wilma Dotson of Hay Springs, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Gene Blair.
Following Bob's wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice or American Cancer Society.
The family especially appreciates Providence Hospice and Royal Manor for the care they gave Bob.
