Robert C. Greaser
January 10, 1929 - June 3, 2010
Major Robert (Bob) C. Greaser, (Ret.), 81, of Waco, passed away peacefully June 3, 2010. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at St. Louis Catholic Church by Msgr. Mark Deering. Burial will full military honors will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, followed by visitation with the family at 6:30 p.m.
Bob was born on January 10, 1929 in Howseville, West Virginia to John Leonard Greaser & Gertrude Hyman Greaser.
Bob joined the Air Force at age 18 and served 25 years. He retired to Waco, where he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, coin collecting, volunteering at Providence Hospital and activities with the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Greaser; and sisters, Dot De Berry and Evelyn Meyers.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Zena Greaser; daughter, Debbie Kucera; son, Bob Greaser and wife Jane; four granddaughters, Leslie Sims, Dawn McCauley, Robin Greaser, and Katy Greaser; and two great grandsons, Sean and Shane McCauley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Terry Tull, Randy Hargrave, Jimmy DeLuca, Bobby Tull, Tony Lazzaro, and Ben McCauley. The Knights of Columbus will be honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Providence Hospital or Providence Park.
