Robert Harlan Reid, 52 of Waco went to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 20, 2007 surrounded by his family at a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 am Monday, March 26, at Waco Christian Fellowship, 405 Estates Drive with Pastor John Rambeau officiating.
Burial will follow at the Blue Ridge Cemetery near Marlin at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Robert was born on February 7, 1955 in Lubbock. He was a very loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and son. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam era veteran.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Reid; daughter, Stephanie Reid; and a sister-in-law, Lessie Fornes of Carthage, NC.
Robert is survived by the love of his life his wife, Sharon Fornes Reid; mother, Laura Reid of Waco; biological father, Robert E. Waters of Gholson; son, Anthony Harlan Reid of Waco; daughter, Melanie Williamson of Waco and husband, Daniel, of Gastonia, NC; granddaughter, Jaelynn Coates-Reid of Copperas Cove; brothers, Andy Reid and wife, Gena of Bosqueville, David Reid of Waco, Russell Waters of Houston, and Glen Waters of Gholson; sister, Joan Patton; step-sister, Kimberly Eastwood; step-brother, Billy Waters all of Gholson; mother-in-law, Helen Ellis of Carthage, NC; sister-in-laws, Lisa Cook and husband, Jack of Bruceville, and Patti Howard of Columbia, MS, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Billy Clark of McGregor, Danny Horn of Waco, Jack Crook of Bruceville, Mike Burchfield of Grapevine, Mark Burchfield of Cleburne, and Dalton Reid of Bosqueville. Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Pooley of Woodway.
