In Loving Memory of Robert “Bob” Ridlehuber
November 12, 1953 – October 18, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Ridlehuber, a beloved husband, family member, dedicated military servant, machinist, woodworker, and a true friend. He passed away on October 18, 2023 at the age of 69.
Bob was born on November 12, 1953 in Landstuhl, Germany to John “JD” Ridlehuber and Mary Trice Ridlehuber.
Bob is survived by wife, Debbie Ridlehuber; step-children, Ashley Thrasher and Shannon Thrasher; grandchildren, Alexis Baggett, and Andrew and Aiden Harrell; siblings, Sidney (Sid) Ridlehuber and wife, Cheryl, and John Ridlehuber and wife, Marsha; nephew, Travis Ridlehuber, and Ryan Ridlehuber and wife, Aubrey; niece, Robyn Ridlehuber Totah and husband, Michael Totah; a host of cousins, and several loving friends.
The memory of those who preceded him in death are his parents; first wife, Poppy Ridlehuber; brother, Kenneth Ridlehuber; and grandson, James Eddins.
But Bob was not only devoted to his human family; Bob also shared a deep bond with his four-legged friends, Macy, Abby, Chief, Blaze, and Noah. He considered them a part of his family.
In addition to Bob's dedication to family and pets, he also had an unwavering commitment to serving our nation. He served in the United States Marines.
Bob’s passing leaves a void in our hearts, but the memories of his kindness, strength, and love will forever remain. As we say our final farewell, we take comfort in knowing that he has found peace and he rests among the heroes and loved ones who have gone before him.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on
Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 1 p.m.
at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, in Waco, TX., 254-772-5272.
In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the love and support of friends and family. Our dear Bob may have left us, but his memory and the legacy he leaves behind will endure forever in our hearts.
