Robert Riess
Robert William Riess passed away Monday, December 10, 2012. Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, December 14, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.
Mr. Riess was born August 10, 1925 in Waco Texas to Henry and Sadie Smith Riess. He attended the Waco Public Schools and graduated from Waco High in 1942. He entered the Army in 1943 and served in Italy and Germany until the end of the war. He attended Baylor University and obtained a BBA in Business.
Mr. Riess worked for Prudential Life in Houston for several years and moved to Dallas and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in 1991. He remained in Waco and died peacefully December 10, 2012.
Four brothers and one sister predeceased Mr. Riess.
He is survived by one niece, Carolyn Maureen Riess of Austin and three nephews, Harold Baker Riess of Waco, Charles Andrew Riess of Falls Church, Virginia, and Walter James Riess of Granbury and several great nieces and nephews.
