Rosalyn Magee, 97, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at her home in Waco with her sister and caregiver present. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 03, at Post Oak Cemetery near Oglesby.

Rosalyn was born on August 30, 1914 to W.W. Magee and Stella Floy Bearden Magee in Oglesby as well as her twin sister, Evelyn. She graduated from Oglesby in 1932. Rosalyn went to Waco in 1939 to attend the National School of Business. Then she worked for the Brazelton Lumber Company. Later in her life she moved to Midland where she worked for and retired from Shell Oil Company after 25 years. She moved back to Waco, and worked for the U.S.D.A. insurance.

Rosalyn belonged to the First Baptist Church in Midland and the Columbus Avenue Church in Waco. She cherished serving others, and loved her Sunday School Class. She was a loving and caring sister, who enjoyed playing bridge. Rosalyn loved to travel, especially on cruises. After suffering a stroke in 1999, Rosalyn became disabled; however, she always made the best of things. She and her twin enjoyed living in a retirement home.

Rosalyn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Silas and Jack Magee; and sister, Marcella Baudoux.

Survivors include her sisters, Evelyn Powell and Willie Mae Buchanan; nieces, Paula Baudoux, Nancy Cook, and Marilyn Pound; nephews, John C. Baudoux, Jack Magee Jr., Ronald Buchanan, and Bill Buchanan.
