Rosamond Cofield White, born February 27, 1923, passed away Monday, August, 25, 2008.
Services will be conducted Thursday, August 28 at 9:00 am at the First Christian Church, 2101 N. Main with graveside services immediately following at West Lawn Cemetery. OakCrest Funeral Home of Waco is handling the arrangements.
Rosamond White was the wife of Hamilton White, a rancher and pilot. She was raised in Del Rio graduating from Del Rio High School. Rosamond and Hamilton were married June 8, 1940, and lived in Marfa where Hamilton ranched until 1953 when they returned to Del Rio.
In 2003 Rosamond and Hamilton moved to the Waco and the Hubbard area. She was an active member of the New Century Club and a member of the First Christian Church. At one time she had a talk show on KDLK.
Rosamond had many talents which included oil painting, sewing, creative hand work, and she took great joy playing Mahjong with her friends.
Rosamond is survived by her daughters, M'Liss Hamilton White and husband Bernie L. Jennings of San Antonio, and Marcella McFarland and husband Ernest of Hubbard,
Texas. She leaves a loving legacy to her grandchildren: Lorie Lee Willis, Marcella Hanz, Rebecca Peacock, and Ernest McFarland and great grandchildren: Colton, Mason, Wyatt
and Kylee Grace Willis, Morgan and Weston Hanz, Tiffani and Caden Peacock, and Braxton McFarland.
