OBITUARY
Ruby E. Hale, 87, of Waco, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at OakCrest Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Ruby was born in Waco to Earl and Elsie (Nyander) Ford. She married Harold F. Hale, Aug. 20, 1942 in Waco. Ruby was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waco, a life member of United Methodist Women, and a member of the Homebuilders Class and the Odell Dudley Class. Ruby enjoyed bird watching, crocheting, and organ music.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband on Oct. 12, 1988.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Bland and husband Kenneth of Leoma, Ten.; grandchildren, Robin Blanchard and husband Michael of Roswell, Ga., Polly O'Connor and husband Sean of Killen, Ala., and Katy Adams and husband Michael of Lawrenceburg, Tn.; sisters, Patty Biederman and husband Joe, and Reba Cooper and husband A.J., all of Waco, and Elsie Kline and husband Bill of San Antonio; nine great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.
