Ruby Hinds

Ruby G. Hinds, 73 of Waco passed away on Thursday at home surrounded by loved ones. Services will be 10 am Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home with burial at Waco Memorial Park. The Rev. Doug Shaffer will officiate. Visitation will be 3 to 5 pm on Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Ruby was born in Oklahoma to Miles and Ida (Travathan) Broughton. She married the love of her life Kenneth on February 28, 1956. She was a member of Park Lake Baptist Church.
Ruby is survived by husband, Kenneth Hinds; children, Shirley Lyman, Jan Ortega, Richard Hinds and Vickie Hinds; grandchildren, Amie Dusek, Amanda Click, Cory Ortega and Diane Hinds; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Morgan, Kristion Dawkins, Hunter Reichert, Atyana Click and Nicholas Ortega; niece, Lucretia Wegmann; nephew, Thad Price and many great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Ruby was a loving wife, mother and friend.
