Ruby Martin

Ruby Aline Martin, 85, of Waco, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at Providence Hospital. Funeral will be 10 AM Friday, July 6, at New Road Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends and Family are requested at the viewing from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, June 5, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.

She was born Ruby Aline Reeves February 10, 1927 to Samuel and Lola Reeves in Climax TX. She grew up in Boles Christian Home with her siblings. She was the twin of Ruben Reeves who preceded her in death. She was married to Raymond Eugene Lewis on June 28, 1947. She remarried Feb. 7, 1954 to Ernest Edward Martin. She was a loving homemaker and mother. A member of the New Road Church of Christ, she was often requested to sing at Church functions and had a wonderful alto voice.

She was the mother of five children, Jimmy Lewis, Ronald Lewis, Jerry Martin, Nickey Martin, and Sherri Martin.
