Ruby Wiggs

Ruby O'Neal Wiggs, 89, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2009.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2009, at Rosemound Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. A Memorial Video honoring her life will be shown during the viewing between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Ruby was born January 3, 1920 in Thornton to Joe and India (Pilant) O'Neal. She moved to Waco in 1949, and worked as an embroidery technician at Graham Embroidery Co. in Waco for over 30 years before retiring.

Rudy was an excellent cook, and was especially known for her chicken and dressing and delicious chocolate pies. She enjoyed dancing, going to the lake, and loving her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Earl Clewis, in 1954; and her second husband, Raymond Wiggs, in 2008.

She is survived by her sister, Jean Kinder, of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.

The family especially appreciates the care provided by Dr. James Copeland, the staff of Lake Shore Village Health Care Center, and social worker Tinker Kramer.
