Ruth Adams

Ruth Marie Adams passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 3 at 1 pm at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 pm Saturday.

Ruth was born January 25, 1931 in West, Texas. She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School and West High School. After attending college she worked as an office manager for Gifford Hill Corporation for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bertha Peters; sister, Irene Sulak of Whitney; and brothers, Arnold Peters of Whitney, William Joseph Peters and Henry Peters, both of West.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Adams of Hewitt; daughter, June Annette Goodnight; grandson, James Tristan Goodnight; granddaughter, Katlyn Marie Goodnight; nephew, Malcolm Sulak and wife, Brenda of Joshua as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
