OBITUARY

Ruth Laurie Henson, 84, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Rainey officiating. Burial will follow in Bosqueville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A Memorial DVD of her life will be shown during the visitation.

Ruth was born September 29, 1920 in Bosqueville to Nay and Ethel (Wright) Garrett, and lived in that area all of her life. She was a member of the Southside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Henson, Sr., in 1971; her parents, and a sister, Lillie McCowan.

She leaves a son, Raymond T. Henson Jr. and wife, Debbie, of China Spring; three daughters, Vada Pecskovszky and husband, Andy, of Waco, Nancy Bruce and husband, Ronnie, of Crawford, and Donna Rubel and husband, Paul, of Hewitt; sisters, Irene Hendrix of Chalk Bluff and Vada Hopkins of Waco; seven grandchildren, Amy Singo and husband, George, Lara Proctor and husband, Tim, Josh Bruce and wife, Misti, Justin Henson, Lisa Carr and husband, Mark, Daniel Bruce, and Joe Rubel; three great-grand-children, Landry Bruce, Ethan Proctor, and Kade Bruce, and numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.

Pallbearers will be Josh Bruce, Justin Henson, Mark Carr, Daniel Bruce, Tim Proctor, and Joe Rubel.

The family expresses their appreciation to Providence Hospice and the staff of Westview Manor Nursing Home in McGregor.
