Sandra Gomez

Sandra R. Gomez, 90, of Waco, Texas, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at St. Francis on the Brazos Catholic Church, with Rev. Eduardo Jaso as Celebrant, with burial at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with Rosary at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Sandra was born in San Manuel, Texas to Roberto and Angelita Rafaela Rodrgiuez. She attended local school. As she matured found the love of her life Fidel Gomez and married August 5, 1949 and lived a short time in Edinburg, Texas. Later they moved to Corsicana and lived there till 1964 and then made one more final move to Waco, Texas.
Sandra worked at a convalescent home, Percy Medicine and at Broadmore Mobile Homes before taking full retirement to care for grandchildren of her daughters. She loved going to Goodwill and shop. She helped her family when they needed her in anyway, whether it being monetary or baby sitting. Sandra made many friends but mostly enjoyed the family visiting on Sunday.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, daughter Betty Gomez and father of her children Fidel Gomez.

Survivors include daughters, Angel Rivaz (Lupe), Fidela Ursua (Felix), Maria Aleman (Jimmy), Elsie Salazar (Charles, Sr.), Simona Martinez (Antonio), Allie Gomez and son Joe Henry Gomez

Pallbearers will be Grandsons: Leo Lozano, Christopher Lozano, Robert G. Ursua, Anthony Aleman, Gregory Menottis, Charles Salazar, Jr, Joe Melendez, Daniel Melendez Michael Melendez, Arthur Gonzales, Fidel Gonzales, Jonathan Romero, Mario Romero, Nicholas Gonzales

Honorary Pallbearer Granddaughters: Jovita Salinas, Clara Padilla, Angel Melendez, Sandra Rouff, Teresa Lozano, Andrea Lopez, Selena Rodrgiuez
