Known as Scott, he was born in Houston on May 19, 1954 to Phil and Joyce S. Davis. He attended Houston public schools, received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston in 1976 and a Medical Doctorate from Texas A&M College of Medicine in 1985. He was certified in Internal Medicine and practiced in Bryan/College Station for about fifteen years. He later served at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco and then at the Mexia State Supported Living Center.
He was a caring, compassionate, hard-working man who would go the extra mile to make those around him feel loved. In his free time, he enjoyed a humble life and activities involving gardening, automobile restoration, livestock, fishing, and building anything he put his mind to. His humor, easygoing personality, and joyful spirit will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Denise; two sons, Philip and Charlie; his parents; two brothers, Roger and Mark; and a sister Diane.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Hillcrest Hospital.
