Seferina Vasquez Alcala

Seferina Vasquez Alcala, 88, of Waco passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Graveside services will be 1 pm Saturday at Rosemound Cemetery with Chaplain Craig Klempnauer officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Seferina was born on January 8, 1920 to Inensencio and Helena (Collins) Vasquez. She was united in marriage to Gilberto R. Alcala, whom preceded her in death in 1966. Seferina was a loving, caring, wonder wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Her family describes her as a wonderful cook and homemaker. She unselfishly took care of all her family and love unconditional.
She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Romero of Waco, Martha Alcala-Torres and husband Mike of Irving and Mary Juarez and husband Charlie of West; sons, Gil R. Alcala, Jr. of Lewisville and David Alcala and wife Cyndi of Bellmead; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
