Sergio Ortiz

Sergio Ramone Ortiz, age 24, of Waco, passed away February 3, 2023.

Visitation and rosary is scheduled for Wednesday, February 15, from 6 to 8 pm at Oakcrest Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 am, February 16, 2023, at Oakcrest Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Rosemound Cemetery.

Sergio was funny, playful, loving and kind. He loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. He was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Sergio’s life wasn’t an easy one, but he fought very hard to find even the simplest joy in life. He had more potential than he ever knew. Sergio’s memory will be kept alive through the people who saw the best in him, even when he wasn’t able to see it in himself.

Sergio joins his brother, Edward “Eddie” Ortiz, Jr., as they have entered eternal rest.

Sergio is survived by his beautiful sons, Sergio, Jr. & Angel Ortiz; his loving mother, Priscilla Vidaurri; his father, Edward Ortiz, Sr.; his sisters, Lyssette Ortiz, Serena Ortiz, Dedra Ortiz, Paula Ortiz; his brother, Emillio Ortiz; his nephews and nieces, Nathan, Liam, Kelyza, Jordyn, Aidric, Meliek, Melloy, Melloz, Melyka, Toussaint, & Alicen. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Soyla Conde, Lillian Guerra; great grandmother, Alejandra Monreal as well as the mother of his children and friend for life, Taylor Stabeno. Sergio leaves behind countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and will be truly missed.
