Sherry Lynn Lyday 49, of Waco, passed away Friday, February 17, 2005. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Sherry was born October 24, 1956 in Dallas to Vernon Gilley and Betty Wrenn Gilley. She was a registered nurse and had worked at Providence Hospital ICU for 8 years.
Sherry graduated from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, received two degrees from Eastfield College in Mesquite, and had graduated from McLennan College.
Sherry is survived by her children, Stacey Lee Lyday, Lisa Lynn Atkins and husband, Jason, Wendy Diane Lyday and husband, Sam Cole, Terry Ray Lyday; mother, Betty Gilley, all of Waco; sister, Susie Fick and husband, Bob of Dallas; brother, Vernon Thomas Gilley and wife, Rachel of Royse City; nephews, Geoffery Thomas Gilley and Robert McReynolds of Ft. Meade, Md.; mother-in-law, Fran Lyday of Waco; son-in-law, Neil Whiteside; and grandchildren, Alexis Lee Whiteside, Lilly Marie Lyday, Aiden Diane Cox, and Savannah Nicole Atkins.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
