Personal Life:
Shirley was born April 11, 1949, in Odessa, to the late James and Annie (Bannister) Watson. She married Dr. Steve Farnsworth on April 20, 1973, in Waco. Their marriage was sealed for eternity on September 3, 1974, at the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was the office manager for her husband's chiropractic clinic in Waco.

Shirley was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and devoted her life to taking care of her husband and four children. The family home in West was a "Grand Central Station" where their many friends came and went. She also actively worked with children's groups at her church. She was a good and loyal friend to a lot of people, and she will be greatly missed.

She was an avid genealogist and had researched her and her husband's family genealogy for many generations. She was also talented with knitting and ceramics, and operated her own business, Little House of Ceramics in Waco.

Shirley also formerly worked for the Secretary of the City of Waco.

Her Loving Family:
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Steve L. Farnsworth of West; three sons, Steve Lynn Farnsworth II, Joseph Owen Farnsworth, and Reuben Adam Farnsworth, all of West; a daughter, Amber Dawn Farnsworth of West; step-mother and step-father, Cecil and Bettie Watson Briggs of Austin; and a brother, Dr. Larry Watson of League City.

Memorials may be made to the Association for Retarded Citizens, 1825 Morrow, Waco, Texas 76707.

The family thanks the physicians and nurses at Providence Hospital for their care.
