Sibyl Dale
March 20, 1923 to November 28, 2007
Sibyl Dale, 84, of Waco, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Oakwood Cemetery with Ernie Christie and Sam Armstrong officiating.
There will be no formal visitation, but friends may come by OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., between noon and 8 p.m. Thursday to pay their respects and sign the register. The family will be at 5613 Lake Haven Dr. on Thursday to receive guests.
Sibyl was born March 30, 1923 in Cuaro to Leroy and Mary Louisa (Mason) Williams. She graduated from Yokum High School. She married J.D. Dale on August 8, 1942 in Waco, and was a homemaker and a devoted member of Lake Shore Church of Christ.
She dedicated her life to serving her Lord and her family. Her family cherished her wisdom and inner strength, and were honored to have her as a selfless counselor and mentor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; husband; two sisters, Fern Saffle and Mary Violet Saffle; and brother, Clinton A. Williams.
She is survived by her son, Gary Dale and wife, Cindy of Waco; daughter, Gaye Lynn Little and husband, Darvin of Waco; two grandchildren, Sherri Irwin and husband, Brian of Knoxville, TN., and Tiffany Jansky and husband, Stephen of Waco; three great grandchildren, Aubri and Shawn Irwin of Knoxville, and Logan Jansky of Waco, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Providence Hospice, especially Rev. Suzanne Smith, Eliana De Los Santos and Nancy Dominguez.
