Junior "JR" Roark, 63, of Waco, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 in a tractor-trailer accident near Crawford.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 8 at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Brian Pendleton, PhD. officiating. Graveside services will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Junior was born March 10, 1945 in Easterly to Temon McParion Roark and Vera Price Roark. He attended Waco public schools and graduated from University High School. He worked for Marathon Battery as a truck driver for 16 years. He then joined ABC Supply as a truck driver. He would have completed 20 years of service in February 2009.
He loved his family, especially his grandsons. He enjoyed attending their sporting events and was their biggest fan. Junior also enjoyed riding his Harley on weekends with his many friends.
Junior is survived by his son, Kevin Roark and wife, Tiffany of Waco; sister, Robbie Joe McMahan of Lorena; half-sister, Joann Stockton of Tenn.; and cherished grandsons, Hunter Roark and Ryder Roark both of Waco.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Roark, Melford Seawright, Jason McMahan, Dennis Lokey, Marcus Buchanan and Randy Oxner.
