Teresa Riojas

Teresa Rosas Riojas, 56, of Waco, passed away at her residence Sunday, May 22, 2011. Military honors will be rendered at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel followed by a rosary service at 6 p.m. Visitation with her family will follow the rosary service and conclude at 7:30 p.m.

Teresa was born August 15, 1954 in Waco. She graduated from University High School in 1972 and then earned her associates degree at McLennan Community College. Upon graduation, she served her country in the USAF from 1974 until 1978. She returned to Waco and began employment with the V.A. Regional Office where she worked from 1978 until 1982. Teresa then began a career with the United States Postal Service retiring in 2009. She was a fun loving, caring person and had a very out going personality. Teresa was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Teresa is survived by her companion and care giver, John Den; daughters, Jennifer and husband, Lionel Maldonado, Jr. and Stephanie and husband, Humberto X. Reveles; her father, Martin Tenorio; her mother, Marina Rosas; grandchildren, Denise Maldonado and Trey Maldonado; her sister, Beatrice Salinas all of Waco; and many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
