Terri Taylor Mccurrin

Born Terri Lynn Woodward on November 18, 1957 in McKinney, Texas to William James and Geraldine Woodward, who preceded her in death, Terri went home to be with her Lord early Saturday morning at Hillcrest Hospital. We rejoice in the knowledge that she will not face “any more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” She now has a new body “fashioned like unto his glorious body”, and a new dwelling place, prepared by Christ Himself among the “many mansions” in His “Father’s house.”

Services will be held at Western Heights Baptist Church on Thursday, January 4th at 7 pm. Visitation will be at the church from 6 to 7 pm. Rev. Kip Osborne will officiate the service. OakCrest Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Terri is survived by her husband, Neil McCurrin, of McGregor; two sons, Jason Taylor and wife, Tammy, of Waco and Jonathan Taylor of Calgary, Canada; and daughter-in-law, Sunshine Taylor, also of Canada.
She has one surviving sibling, Bobbie Rickerson and husband, Rick, of McGregor. Ricky Woodward, her brother, preceded her in death. LaNell Woodward is Ricky’s surviving wife and member of WHBC. Terri has five grandchildren, Emma and Alexis Taylor, of Calgary, Chris Hiland and wife, Lyndsay, of Waco, Cody Edmonds and Clay Edmonds, of Waco. She has two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Terri was blessed with dozens of lifelong friends in Waco whom she knew socially and professionally. She went to school in Waco, graduated from Richfield High School, and worked for Hillcrest Clinics as a nurse from 1983 until 2012. Her nursing career brought her in contact with hundreds of special people who loved her “bedside manner” and comforting and caring smile. Some of her special friends include Richard Rodriguez, Cindy Prachel, Sherri Davis, and Mike Brashears. Terri had a “heart” for helping people. After she retired, she volunteered at Royal Manor Nursing Home and helped her son at Bulldog Automotive. She also loved animals and found it hard to turn down adopting every dog she found in need.

Terri was an active member of Fidelis Sunday School Class at Western Heights Baptist Church and memorials in her name can be made to OakCrest Funeral Home.
