Thelma W. Ledford, 88, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Regent Care Nursing Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Curtis Rothe officiating. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Thelma was born April 29, 1921 in Chattanooga, Tenn., to John and Addie (Kirby) White. She was married in 1939 in Chattanooga to Thomas E. Ledford, who preceded her in death on January 2, 1985.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Western Heights Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny White and James White.
She is survived by her daughter, Myra Dean Berg of Waco; two sons, Tony Ledford and his wife, Paula of Lorena, and Gary Ledford and his wife, Denise of Robinson; sister, Margaret Dendy of Little Rock; two brothers, Paul White and Jody White, both of Chattanooga; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
