Thelma Lee Skrabanek, 96, formerly of Waco, passed away peacefully January 26, 2025 in Marble Falls, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 31, at the Lake Shore Drive Church of Christ with Ministers Ernie Christie and Greg Neill officiating.

Lee was born October 24, 1928 in Paris, TX. to Leonard and Ruth Kent. She married the love of her life, James D. “Jimmy” Skrabanek in 1955 and they celebrated 65 years together. They proudly raised two beloved daughters, Kim and Kris.

Lee and Jimmy were graciously very active in their church, school, and community. Lee embraced life with an unwavering spirit and a heart full of love. She brought warmth and compassion to everyone she encountered.
Lee graduated from Lamar Business College in Paris. Her first job was with the City of Paris Water Department. Later, after moving to Waco, she served as the Tax Collector / Assessor for the Robinson School District.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Mary Russell.

Survivors include her children, Kim Helder and Kris Neill and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Madison Neill, Hannah (Joseph) Lamon, Avery Helder, and Mason Neill; and great-grandchildren, Allison and Olivia Lamon. She will be missed dearly but will forever remain in our hearts.
