Theo Rea Thames, Jr., 63, of Waco, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at his residence.
Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard. A Memorial Video honoring his life will be shown during the visitation following the service. A private burial will be held later.
Theo was born December 2, 1947 in Waco to Theo Rea Thames, Sr. and Ada Fuller Thames. He was a longtime employee of Flamco Metal Products in Waco.
Theo was a caring man with a giving heart, always willing to help others. He graciously donated to many charities including Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, St. Jude's Hospital, and Make A Wish Foundation, among many others. He was a faithful friend to many people, especially to children and elderly people. He lived life to its fullest, and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessica; brothers, Edward and Thomas; and sisters, Virginia and Joyce.
Theo is survived by his brother, James Lewis of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Rd., Bethesda, MD 20814 in Theo's name.
