Thomas L. Cranford, 77, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2006. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, at the First Baptist Church of Hewitt located at 301 South First Street, Hewitt, with the Rev. Roy Marshall and Rev. D. F. Barrett officiating. Visitation with the family will precede the service from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Tommy was born in Little Rock, Ark., on February 18, 1929 to Erna and John Cranford. For many years Tommy was associated with M. Lipsitz & Co. in Waco. He was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Scottish Rite. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hewitt.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Laura Cranford; sons, Dr. Michael Reeves and wife, Mary, and Brad Engel; grandchildren, Zachary Engel, Jason Reeves and wife, Claire, and Keith Reeves and wife, Carrie; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Sasse and husband, Billy, and Joann Nelson and husband, Pete; and several nieces and nephews.
Tommy and his family wanted to offer special thanks to Hillcrest Hospice, especially Debbie and Angela for the wonderful care and friendship during his illness.
