Thomas Enriquez, Jr., 66, of Waco, passed away Monday, November 2, 2009 at his home. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home with the rosary at 7 p.m.
Thomas was born in Waco, and he was married March 19, 1973 to Rita Castillo. He was a welder and painter who worked for Sturdisteel since 2001 and was formerly with L3 Communications. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. We will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Nancy Enriquez; sister, Sally Melendez; son, Thomas Christopher Enriquez; nephew, Carlos Garcia, and niece, Carolyn Garcia.
Thomas leaves his wife, Rita; son, Eric Enriquez; and two daughters, Letitia Vidana and husband, Jose, and Melissa Enriquez, all of Waco. He cherished his 14 grandchildren, Anna Marie Gonzales, Eric Jr., Alexandria, Jonathan and Thomas Enriquez, Mark Locke, Matthew and Ray Liles, Tiffany, Gabriella, Savannah, and Thomas Vidana, and Jeremiah and Nathaniel Trejo. He also leaves three sisters, Virginia Sisneroz and husband, John of Robinson, Linda Flores, Mary Asebedo and husband, Mario, Margaret Lade, all of Waco, Clementine Enriquez of Palm Springs, Cal., and Olga Reyes of Dallas; and brothers, Leo Enriquez and wife Melinda of Austin and John Enriquez of San Antonio.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Joe and James Lerma, Mark Locke, Eric Enriquez Jr., Steve Garcia, Raymond Mendoza Jr. and Billy Guthrie.
The family thanks his daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Lilies, and Providence Hospice for their loving care.
