Thomas D. "Tom" Jones, 58, of Waco died Thursday, September 1, 2005 after a long battle with cancer.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Pat Cummins officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video of his life will be shown during the visitation.

Tom was born in Waco to Harvey and Mary Dell (Carpenter) Jones. He designed and constructed metal buildings throughout the United States.

He was warm and personable, and always had a sunny, positive attitude. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa, and he will be truly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Becky, of Waco; two daughters, Charissa and husband, Stacy Bounds of Fort Worth, and Crista and husband, Steve Freeman of Fort Worth, and their mother and special friend, Judy Jones of Fort Worth; sister, Janie Swadley of Waco; two brothers, Donald Snodgrass and wife, Chris of Lubbock, and Jimmy Jones and wife, Glinda, of Waco; and three grandsons, Beau, Parker, and Aiden Thomas.

The family especially appreciates the care given by Debbie and Janelle of Hillcrest Hospice, and Robbie of Community Cancer.

A memorial fund in his name has been established at South Trust Bank, 6300 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, TX 76054.
