Thomas Olson Pena rounded the bases for the last time and touched home plate to be with our heavenly Father on Saturday, April 20, 2024. He passed away at home. Tommy was born in Waco, TX. His parents are Donald and Diana Pena of Waco, TX. He attended Reicher Catholic High, graduating from Waco High School in 2002. He loved baseball down to his core attending Ranger Jr. College on a baseball scholarship. Tommy’s favorite things were family and friends, movie night, tacos, BBQs, break dancing, and playing chess. He loved music and talking of old times and dreams. He spent good times with his Aunt Elaine Pena, Godparents, Uncle Ray Pena and Aunt Tori Pena, as well as times with his Uncle David Pena and Uncle Ronny Pena.
Many good times and memories were made with his childhood forever friend and sidekick, Fatima Rose Hernandez-Andrade, along with her daughter who also is his goddaughter, Sofia Rose Andrade. She was taught to ride her 1st bike by Tommy along with many other father role Activities, including sports. Tommy’s illness worsened needing more individual care yet he still stayed in touch. Tommy left a lasting impression on all he crossed paths with. His homerun smile was just there.
Preceding him were his maternal grandparents, Bob and Jan Edge, and paternal grandparents, Mary Pena and Fred Pena. Tommy also left behind his brothers, Tyler, Adam, and Ryan and many other family members.
We will never forget you, Tommy. You will always be in our hearts and memory.
