Thomas Rezach

Thomas W. Rezach (Tom), 90, of Waco passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 surrounded by family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016, at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ernie Christie, Associate Minister of Lake Shore Church of Christ officiating.

Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6-8 Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Tom was born January 25, 1926 in Manitowoc, WI, to John and Louise (Jung) Rezach. Tom joined the U. S. Navy immediately after graduating from high school and proudly served during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. Tom retired from Bardcor in Waco as a plant supervisor.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Jane Tuesburg Rezach, and second wife, Doris Ruth Rezach, one brother and one sister.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannine Rezach; sons, Thomas L. Rezach, Richard J. Rezach and wife, Linda, Charles R. Rezach and wife, Elizabeth, and John J. Rezach and wife, Sherri; and daughters, Julie Rezach Abernathy, Dorothy J. McCarter and husband, Wendall.

Tom is also survived by his children in marriage, James Hedge and wife, Judy and Carol Green and husband, Robert; 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth Loera (and husband Richard), Jeffrey Abernathy (and spouse Melyssa), Melissa Rezach, Lindsey Rezach-Dieterich (and husband Aaron), Ashley and Erica Sapp, Elizabeth Rezach, John Rezach, and one grandson by marriage, Danny Gwin; and 7 great grandchildren.
