Thomas C. Rogers, 92 of Waco, TX originally from Satin, TX passed away Friday, April 19, 2024.

He passed peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Friday, April 26, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Benjie as Celebrant. Rosary Service at 6:00 pm with Visitation from 7-8:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco, TX 76710.

Thomas Rogers Riojas was a great father to his sons, enjoying birthdays and family gatherings. One of many memories his sons have is the time their father would take them to the gravel pit to play and fish. Our father was known in the Hispanic community for his famous brisket at Quinceaneras and weddings at the Waco Missions Recreation Club. He will by sorely missed by all.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Marina M. Rogers; parents, Beatriz Cardenas Riojas and Juan Diaz Riojas; and sisters, Olivia Corley, Susie Villarreal, and Angelita Riojas.

Thomas is survived by his brothers, Frank, John, Joe, and Ralph; sister, Julia Riojas; sons, Thomas Riojas, Jr. (Kay) of Lorena, Larry Riojas (Mary Jo) of Fort Worth, and Tony Riojas of Waco; grandchildren, Natisha Embry (Chris) of China Spring, Jennifer Maldonado (Lionel Jr.) of Waco, Stephanie Riojas of Austin, and Matthew Riojas of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Adriana Gonzalez (Josh) of Carrollton, Claudia Gordon (Kaleb) of Waco, Kristen Embry of Waco, Denise Maldonado of New York, Trey Maldonado of Waco, and Fallon Embry of China Spring; great-great grandson, Mateo Embry; and future great-great granddaughter.

The family would like to thank everyone for keeping them in their thoughts and prayers.
