Thomas "Tommy" V. Stockton, 74, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Providence Health Center.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rosemound Cemetery with Ernie Christie officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Tommy was born June 29, 1934 in Waco to Lawrence Verron Stockton and Mary Elizabeth Nelson Stockton.
He was a lifelong resident of Waco. In the late 60's and early 70's, Tommy had a band "Tommy and the Texans" in which he enjoyed entertaining through his music. He worked for Azbell's Radio Center for 32 years. He enjoyed working on electronics and especially restoring antique radios as a hobby. He was known by many as one of the best electronic technicians in the Waco area.
In April 1977, he married Alicia Kay Green in Waco. They were members of Lakeshore Church of Christ.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Randall Shea Stockton.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Kay Stockton; sons, Kelly Stockton of Denton, Tommy Witt of Moody, Robert Witt of Waco and Steve Witt of Keller; grandson, Jonathon Stockton of Waco; sister, Mattie Ruble and husband, Sam of Oklahoma City.
The family expresses their appreciation to the staff of Providence Health Center and to the ladies of Lakeshore Church of Christ.
