Thomas Wells

Thomas Wells, 38, of Hewitt, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010 at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Thomas was born September 7, 1971 in Jacksonville, Florida to Thomas Lamar Wells and Sylvia Walters Wells. He later moved to Wichita Falls and then moved to Waco in 2003. He married Angie Denise Higgins, August 3, 1998, in Kauai, Hawaii. Thomas was a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Providence Medical Center. He recently graduated from MCC Nursing School and passed his State Board exam to become licensed as a RN. Thomas was very passionate and driven and looked forward to helping people as a nurse. His MCC classmates were like family to him and he loved all of them very much.

Thomas was a loving husband, father and friend. He was the love of Angie's life and her best friend. He will be thought of every second of everyday. He always took care of all the little things so that those he loved wouldn't have to worry. His children were the center of his life. He wanted them to be taken care of no matter what. Sarah was his "sunshine", John was his "little turkey" and Ethan his little "tickle bean". Thomas loved spending time with his family especially traveling to the beach in Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his paternal grandparents, John Lamar Wells and Singalee Wells.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Angie; his children, Sarah, age 6, John, age 3 and Ethan who is 1 year old. He is also survived by a host of Angie's family; his 2010 classmates of the MCC School of Nursing; and the entire Providence Medical Center staff.
